- Priming valves are essential components of pump system, which are used to remove air from centrifugal pumps and intake lines. Priming valves must be open when priming the pump and then closed when the pump is fully primed.
- The priming valve is made of silicon bronze and the finish is machined. The common method for casting priming valves is sand casting - a relative simple and low-cost process that can produce large and complex cast valves.
